Director of EMERY H.R., Margo Emery, has an extensive rural background to complement her comprehensive recruitment knowledge and experience.
Having been awarded the prestigious “Miss R.A.S. of NSW Showgirl” title in her youth, Margo was appointed Administration & Public Relations Director of the Australian Quarter Horse Association based in Neutral Bay (Sydney) when the A.Q.H.A was clearly the largest & most successful recreational Horse Breed in Australia.
After marrying and moving to the Hunter Valley in 1985, Margo and her husband Graham established and continue to maintain their highly successful Australian Stock Horse breeding venture “Kirala Stud” on their property in Maitland (NSW). Over the years they have bred, bought and sold many horses and have enjoyed innumerable successes including Champions & Supreme Champions at Royal and National Show level.
Having been raised with a rural influence, their two sons attended an Agricultural Boarding school in Tamworth where they were introduced to Stud Angus cattle. This interest then led to their sons forming “Kirala Angus Stud” which breeds, shows & sells quality Stud Angus cattle, which Margo is actively involved with running in the absence of her sons whilst one son is employed in the beef industry & the other attends University.
With an in depth knowledge and experience of rural life, Margo has been able to assist Clients with numerous rural placements; from farm hands through to Property Managers. Likewise, many of EMERY H.R.’s Clients are associated with rural markets or communities and require the recruitment of employees who have an understanding and empathy with the trials and tribulations which effect a rural community or business; Margo is able to clearly identify these needs and source the best available personnel.
